farip pursues a non-profit goal of promoting independent and sustainable income generation in poor rural areas of Africa. In doing so, farip acts as a patient investor with the innovative African entrepreneurs and takes their ideas seriously. The initiators get the chance to show that their ideas can work commercially.

The purpose of the farip Foundation is to create and promote sustainable livelihood and income-generating opportunities that are in the public interest and benefit the local population, in poor underdeveloped rural areas of Africa. The foundation does not pursue any profit-making purposes.
